Today Laksmi and I decided to stop by the historical Pensacola Lighthouse. Located in Americas first settlement(so they say) in Pensacola Florida on the naval air station where i am currently stationed. the lighthouse was built in 1859 and has a steep climb of 177 steps to the top for a breathtaking view of the town and Pensacola bay. Overall the historical site was very interesting with lots of items from the civil war era on display showing the way of life for the lighthouse keepers.
There are many ghost stories about this place. and at night time the old structure can look pretty Eerie. The Travel Channel and SciFi’s Ghost Hunters have actually included this lighthouse in their shows to prove the spirit presence.
